NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Louisiana’s largest music recording studio sits right here in New Orleans.  And if walls could talk, the Esplanade Studio would have plenty of stories.

Recording artists from Dr. John, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and John Legend have recorded at Esplanade Studio.

Entire movie scores have also been composed at Esplanade, most recently Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas (2013) and Black or White (2014).

The mastermind behind Esplanade Studio, Misha Kachkachishvili, bought the property in 2010 after hurricane Katrina completely destroyed the once fully operating Presbyterian Church. Renovations began the following year.
