(WGNO) – The Amite Warriors are officially out of the playoffs after a judge ruled in favor of the LHSAA’s ruling. The entire Amite football team received a one-game suspension for leaving the bench area during a fight with Bogalusa in a state playoff game last Friday night. The game ended because of the brawl.

LHSAA executive director Eddie Bonine said the rule is clear, any player leaving the bench area is suspended for the next game.

Amite’s scheduled opponent in tonight’s 3A semifinals, the St. James Wildcats, will now head to the 3A championship game.
