NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – College students have a lot to juggle. We found a Tulane football player who’s juggling athletics, academics, and a luxury car garage. News with a Twist Reporter Kenny Lopez introduces us to this 21-year-old entrepreneur.

Michael Lizanich is wheelin’ and dealin’!  When he started college at Tulane University, this 21-year-old Business Management major was always finding unique ways to make a buck.

“I always had a business up my sleeve.  I had a dorm room cleaning service once and then I would buy pizzas from ‘The Boot’ and sell them. I love the deals.  I love getting stuff done,” Lizanich said.

Getting stuff is the name of the game for Michael, who not only juggles school work, but he’s on Tulane’s football team, and he’s started his own business, The Motorsports Garage.

So how has football helped give him the training he’s needed to run a successful business?

“I always say what happens in football can related to the real world.  You get knocked down, and you got to come back to win,” he said.

His ultimate passion for cars led him to open up his business.

“The Motorsports Garage is a luxury and exotic car storage facility.  There really is a need in New Orleans because there’s a lot of uncovered parking here, and a place like this protects your car.  I like to sum it up that it’s a concierge service for cars.  We tell our clients to drive the cars and we handle the rest,” he said.

Custom packages start at $299 per month and include:  Storage-climate controlled, 24-hour security, CTEK battery trickle, detailing, repairs, maintenance, assistance in buying and selling vehicles, auction and car show preparation, vehicle transportation, transportation to and from the facility, and other services available upon request.

These cars: Corvettes, McClellans, and Lamborghinis certainly deserve this kind of special treatment.

From The Motorsports Garage to the classroom to the football field, Lizanich is proving to his college buddies that he means business.

In the future, he hopes to expand his business to Nashville and Charleston.
