NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The NOPD is investigating a single vehicle crash on Tchoupitoulas Street that killed a woman.
Investigators say the woman was a passenger in a 2015 black Lamborghini that was traveling eastbound in the 1800 block of Tchoupitoulas shortly before midnight on Wednesday. Police say for unknown reasons the male driver lost control of the car and slammed into the flood wall near the corner of Felicity and Tchoupitoulas streets.
The unidentified female was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
Blood and alcohol tests are pending at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
