GRETNA, La. (WGNO) – Shelley Dufresne, one of two former Destrehan High School teachers accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student is due back in Jefferson Parish Court Friday.
Dufresne, who accepted a plea deal in St. Charles Parish in April and pleaded guilty to a felony obscenity charge for having sex with that same student, has yet to be charged in Jefferson Parish.
The Jefferson Parish case surrounds an alleged incident in which Dufresne and another former teacher Rachel Respess are accused of having sex with the 16-year-old in a Kenner apartment.
Neither Dufresne or Respess have been formally charged at this time in that case.
Dufresne is expected to appear in Jefferson Parish Commissioner’s Court Friday morning for a status hearing in the case.
