NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Road work will shut down a major stretch of the Interstate this weekend. The entire westbound side of 610 will close starting at 7 p.m. Friday.
Crews are replacing ten expansion joints. They’ll have to remove part of the roadway.
Westbound drivers will have to either exit at Chef Menteur or stay on I-10. However, the eastbound side will stay open.
I-610 will fully reopen around 5 a.m. Monday.
