Johnson is 15 wins, 33 losses in four seasons, Tulane has won three lost eight this season. last year, the green wave won three lost nine.
But, despite taking its lumps, Johnson said the bulk of his team returns next year.
<Curtis Johnson “I think we are making progress, the type of league we are in has made it very tough. I got 18 starters coming back. We didn’t play as well as we like, but there are some parts of this team i really like.”>
Tulane is 123rd in total offense in the football bowl subdivision… only four teams have gained fewer yards.
<Curtis Johnson “We didn’t very good on offense, the last couple of years. we played so many freshman a year ago, now they are sophomores. We should play better on offense. i have to look at it, schematically, what we are doing, I look who are coaching, how we are coaching, all those things. Our offense will be very scrutinized in this offseason .”>
Friday night’s game against Tulsa is the finale for Tulane safety Darion Monroe.
The former East St. John product says you can’t put all the blame on the coaches.

*If* Tulane changes coach, the new head coach will be the 13th since Jim Pittman arrived uptown in 1966.
