NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Louisiana and several southern states have found themselves on a list of the most dangerous places for Black Friday shoppers, the annual buying frenzy which brings thousands of deal seekers to stores every year after Thanksgiving dinner.
The blog Estately ranks Louisiana as the fourth most dangerous for Black Friday shoppers. Arkansas ranks number one, followed by Tennessee at number 2. Alabama is number 3.
The findings come from ranking each of the 50 states on Facebook users’ interest in Black Friday sales, and the frequency of aggravated assaults.
