NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Mild conditions are on the way as we go through the final weekend of the Carnival season. Expect temps to fall through the mid to low 60s Thursday evening under mostly cloudy conditions. A breeze will add a slightly cooler feel to the air but overall it should be nice. Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s by Friday and stay there until a front moves through Sunday night.

Right now rain chances look low through Friday as well. A few showers are possible on Saturday but most of the rain moves in Sunday and Sunday night. Sunday parades could be soggy later in the day although right now it looks like the heaviest activity stays in the northern parts of the area. Rain may linger into Monday morning but right now a lot of the Lundi Gras festivities look dry by the afternoon.

Temperatures will be quite a bit cooler however as the front pushes through. Expect breezy conditions on Monday and then nice weather for your Mardi Gras.
