Outsiders on WGN America premieres Tuesday, January 26 at 9/8 central.
WGNO NEWS with a Twist features guy Wild Bill Wood travels to New York City to chat with the cast and crew of the show that makes a mark and makes TV history.
Outsiders is the story of a struggle. It’s a struggle for power and control. And the location for the struggle is a mountain in modern-day Appalachia.
The mountain is home for a Kentucky family that’s called this address home for more than two hundred years. The family is the Farrell family.
The Farrells are literally outsiders because they live outside of just about everything the rest of want to be inside. They live outside any kind of cell phone service. And mainly, they live outside the law.
Now, the home they love is the focus and the desire of a coal company. That means a real Appalachian fight is on the way.
And it means the Farrells will do whatever it takes to protect and defend their home.
The stars of Outsiders are David Morse, Joe Anderson, Ryan Hurst, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Thomas M. Wright and Christina Jackson.
