NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Visual communications at Delgado Community College is yet another emphasis where students graduate and discover a vibrant job market. Lance Nicoll said the credits here easily transfer to four-year schools.

“Our students who complete their associates degree, four to five semesters, not just to jobs in graphic design, production, art design and also going to four year colleges like UNO, LSU, and Loyola and going in as third-year students,” Nicoll added.

Besides graphic design, the college also features a certificate in digital photography.

“There’s nothing like it in the state. Most technically sound photography program. Our students come in with the expectation that they know nothing. There is not this ‘oh I need to be a photographer.’ We teach them how the camera works, how to use studio lighting. Our students are out in one of the largest event fields in the country. Shooting events, commercial photographer and product photography as well,” Nicoll continued.

Visual Communications, another reason why Delgado Community College is Step Closer to Unstoppable.
