NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Three-time Grammy nominated group, The Avett Brothers, is heading to the Big Easy this November.

According to the Ambassador Theatre Group, this comes after news broke of the group’s latest album, set to release May 17. This will be the band’s first album release in five years.

The Avett Brothers debuted in 2009 and had multiple songs hit the Billboard Top 200 charts since their debut. The band has also been inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.

Since their last album, The Avett Brothers released a musical called “Swept Away,” inspired by their own music, earning them nine Tony Awards.

The concert is set to take place Thursday, Nov. 7.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. on the Saenger Theatre’s website. Tickets will also be available at the Saenger Theatre box office, open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at 1111 Canal St.
