NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Four-time major champion Rory McIlroy will play the Zurich Classic for the first time.
McIlroy, who has won the British open twice, the US Open, and the PGA championship, will team with former British open champion Shane Lowry.
McIlroy is a 24 time winner on the PGA tour. McIlroy has won PGA tour player of the year, three times.
The Zurich Classic of New Orleans will be contested April 25 through April 28 at the TPC of Louisiana.
Lowry has played the Zurich Classic four times, the last in 2022, when he finished 13th when paired with Ian Poulter.
