NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Louisiana’s primary election is Saturday, and big political names and presidential candidates are coming to the Crescent City.

Former President Bill Clinton is expected to take the stage at the Ashe Cultural Arts Center at 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.  Friday morning, encouraging voters to support his wife, Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton.

But Bill Clinton has some competition in town. Republican frontrunner Donald Trump will be in New Orleans Friday night at 6, speaking at Landmark Aviation near the Lakefront Airport.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is also expected to make an appearance in Louisiana. He is set to hold a rally in Mandeville at 7:30 p.m. at the Castine Center (63350 Pelican Dr, Mandeville).

Marco Rubio had a planned trip to Baton Rouge but canceled earlier this week.
