NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews was awarded $55 million in a lawsuit over a secretly filmed nude video.
Andrews brought a $75 million suit against her stalker, Michael Barrett, and the management company of the hotel where it was filmed.
The verdict — returned by a jury of seven women and five men — found both parties culpable.
In his closing argument, Andrews’ attorney encouraged the jury to award her damages that took into account the “full amount of harm that’s been done to her.”
