ROSELLE, Ill. (WGNO) — We see and hear things described as “unbelievable” a lot, but we’ve NEVER seen something like this before.
Police outside Chicago just released incredible video of an alleged drunk driver, cruising around town with a 15-foot tree lodged in the grill of his car.
Roselle police say one of their officers saw the car, pulled it over and arrested the driver in January. The bizarre images of the arbor appendage were uploaded to the department’s Facebook account last week. So far those pictures have been shared more than 20,000 times.
But some questioned their authenticity. That’s when Roselle cops say they decided to make the video public.
The video shows the car going down a street in the opposite direction. It then cuts to dash-cam video from a police cruiser trailing the tree-riddled car, in which the police officer pulls the driver over.
The driver was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Facebook page.
The driver was also driving on the wrong side of the road.
