NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police announced five arrests over the weekend in car burglary investigations. Police say they were responding to an increase in complaints of car burglaries in the Uptown area over the past few weeks.  To get an idea of how many criminals are committing the crimes, check out this recent Wheel of Justice report. Police say they arrested four suspects after responding to a call in the area of Cadiz and Constance streets.  As officers arrived in the 4900 block of Constance, they say they saw one person rummaging through a car while two others served as lookouts.  Police also say a fourth suspect was attempting to get into another car farther down the block. According to police, all four suspects bolted from the area as officers arrived.  One was captured in an ally behind a house in the 4800 block of Magazine Street.  Police say other responding offers were able to arrest the remaining three suspects. Police say a few hours later, a fifth suspect was arrested after he was seen pulling on car doors in the 8300 block of Apple Street.  Of the five suspects arrested, two are juveniles.  But the remaining three are seen below. Police are also working to determine if any of the suspects arrested in the investigations above are connected to previous car burglary cases in the Uptown area, including the cases associated with the recent Wheel of Justice report.
