THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — It’s not just the rides and food to enjoy at the Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair. All weekend, the stage will be jumping with some of the region’s best bands.

The musical lineup on Friday, May 3, includes two Louisiana natives making a big splash in the country music, starting off with Thomas Cain hitting the stage at 5:15 p.m.

“You can expect a very high-energy show. That’s what I love to do, that’s what I do at every single show. I love to bounce around the stage jump around get the crowd involved. Get them hyped up so make sure to bring your energy ’cause that’s what we want,” said Cain.

Cain said he is trying to grow his career like the guy who follows him on stage Friday night, Joel Haydel who, like Cain, also spends time in Nashville.

“So, I signed a publishing deal here about three years ago with Wide Open Music and I’ve been signed there as a songwriter ever since. We’ve got an artist development project in motion right now for me. I’ve got three new singles coming this summer,” said Haydel.

Saturday is also a full day of entertainment with the stage running from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Then, on Sunday, one of the Kings of Zydeco, the great Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco band, tear things up.

The show starts at 4:30 p.m. and he explained what fairgoers can expect.

“Some traditional Zydeco music and traditional Creole music, mixed in with a little bit of Bob Marley, James Brown, some 90s R&B and some Keith Frank,” said Frank.
