GRETNA, La. (WGNO) — The beloved family-owned restaurant, Tony Mandina’s, announced that it will be closing its doors after 42 years in business.
According a Facebook post, the Mandina family “bids farewell” to the community and expressed their appreciation for their loyal customers and employees.
“It is with love and gratitude that we announce the closing of Tony Mandina’s Restaurant,” the Mandina family said. “It has been an incredible journey serving our community over the past 42 years. We are eternally grateful for your unwavering support and patronage. You have welcomed us into your lives, making us a part of your cherished celebrations and memories. It is with fond memories that we look back on the friendships formed and the joy that Tony Mandina’s has brought to so many.”
The post mentioned that customers will be able to enjoy the Sicilian food and ambiance one last time, as their final day of operation will be Saturday, June 29. The Mandina family invites customers to “enjoy a meal with us” and “reminisce about the moments we’ve shared.”
The Mandina’s essence and flavors will not be forgotten on the West Bank as Tony Mandina’s will “continue their legacy” by selling their popular “Red Gravy” and “Tony Mandina’s Kitchen” cookbook.
