NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)- NOLA Artist Terrance Osborne and his with Stephanie have teamed with the American Heart Association to present Gratitude Day this Sunday at the Harrah’s Casino Theater.
It’s a holistic approach to being healthy with a wellness fair, health screenings and a once in a lifetime chance to win a Terrance Osborne original valued at $8,000.
Osborne told us why he thinks the event is important, “It has to do with a healthy state of mind. A lot of times we don’t take care of ourselves until after some disease afflicts us or we’re not doing well. This is about creating a healthy mind before any of those things happen so that even when you go into something that’s not well or crisis then you’re able to have a better state of mind to help you to heal.”
Brittany Gay of the AMA says, (The goal of the event is)”to help inspire people really to make changes to get healthier and to show that there’s a connection to between mental health and physical health. Our hope is that people will leave feeling inspired to to make changes in their lives to be healthier and happier.”
