NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — In celebration of national fried chicken day, the Spears Group announced this year’s National Fried Chicken Festival dates on Saturday, July 6.

The FCF, presented by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, is returning to New Orleans at the Lakefront on Oct. 5 and 6 and will host over 45 different restaurants providing the prized Southern dish, famous musicians and celebrity chefs.

This year, pricing is based in a tier structure, offering general admission for $5 right now, an unlimited “Beer Garden” ticket for $39 and a luxury VIP lounge access ticket for $79.

The fest will also host a “STEM Saturday” with STEM NOLA as presented by Entergy. This event will allow 100 children from the area to participate in STEM experiments and learn from the founder of STEM NOLA, Dr. Calvin Mackie. The STEM Saturday event will be held free of charge due to a financial contribution from Entergy.

“In preparation for our seventh event and third installment at the Lakefront site, we’re continuously finding ways to improve the overall guest experience and create opportunities for people of all backgrounds and means to come out and enjoy the festival,” said FCF Executive Producer Cleveland Spears III. “We’re proud to announce our new discounted pricing structure and partnerships with amazing local companies like Entergy to ensure FCF stays true to its mission of inclusivity, togetherness and the betterment of the communities we serve.”
