LULING, La. (WGNO) — A man was found dead in the Mississippi River, floating underneath the Luling Bridge in the evening hours of Tuesday, July 9.
According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, the man, who was found without identification and so remains unidentified, was spotted by a tugboat captain working on the Mississippi River shortly before 7 p.m. Personnel from the SCPSO were able to set up on LA 18 near Sugarhouse Road and successfully recovered the man’s body.
The deceased is described as a 40 to 45-year-old Caucasian man who had short dark hair with a full beard, was roughly 6-feet tall and weighed between 310 and 350 lbs.
Detectives reportedly found no signs of struggle, trauma or foul play.
