NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — At first glance of the Project NOLA crime camera footage, you see a group of four young people walking down North Rocheblave Street at about 11:45 last Sunday night.  But it a matter of minutes, it would turn into a violent attack. The footage shows — what appears to be — three men and a woman walking down the middle of the street.  The group does not seem to be trying to hide or be secretive in any way.  They continue walking until the camera can no longer see them. Moments later, a black Honda Civic is seen pulling up and parking on the street.  The car stops, and a man and woman remain inside it.
Then the four walkers begin to make their way back into the picture.  This time, they’re a little more spread out.  As one of them passes the car, he is seen stopping and then pulling open the driver’s side door.  Seconds later, the woman gets out of the passenger side, and another one of the attackers points a gun at her head then forces her to the ground. The final moments of the video show the car leave the scene with all four attackers while the woman, who was knocked to the ground, remains there.  According to police, the carjackers also took the woman’s purse but left her cellphone which she used to call 911.
