NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The love affair with Pokemon Go and its characters continues here in New Orleans.

Someone painted this graffiti mural along the back wall of the Chevron station at the corner of Carrollton and Willow in Uptown.

It even includes a reference to the contentious 2016 presidential election, asking voters to support “Pikachu 2016.”

“God save us all,” the mural says.

The mural comes a couple of weeks after an unknown artists or artists placed a fiber glass Pikachu monument in a neutral ground park on Terpsichore Street near Prytania.

The statue has attracted Pokemon Go fans from all over the metro area and beyond, although someone did vandalize the statue last week. The vandalism was cleaned up before too many people heard about it. Supporters of the statue left this note to the person who vandalized it:
