NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Two young suspects tried really hard to burglarize Cowbell on Oak Street Sunday morning, and the business released surveillance of their bungled attempt on its Facebook page.

The video, “captured in two parts for your viewing pleasure,” the restaurant says, shows two young suspects – one with an umbrella to hide his face and the other with his shirt pulled up over his head – walk to the back entrance of the restaurant and start peering into the windows.

The two kids try to get in the locked doors the old-fashioned way – turning the handles repeatedly – but when that doesn’t work one of the teens throws a rock and shatters the glass.

That’s when they crawl into the restaurant through the broken glass and start frantically searching for things to steal.

In the first video, fast-forward to about the 2:00 mark to see the suspects arrive. On the second video, fast-forward to the 4:30 mark to see the glass shatter from inside the restaurant. At about the 6-minute mark, you see the suspects enter the restaurant. Around the 7-minute mark, you’ll see one of them take a barstool and break more glass in an attempt to find something to steal.

They were unsuccessful in their burglary attempt and eventually run out of the restaurant.
