FALLS LAKE, NC (WGNO) — A North Carolina man says his son is the world’s youngest water-skier!

Six-month-old Auburn Absher can’t even crawl yet, but thanks to a custom-built rig, he’s already hitting the water.

His dad Rob says the youngster’s hands aren’t taped on.   He grips the handle-bars all by himself.

Rob claims Auburn is now the world’s youngest water skier, at just 6 months 10 days old and says he beat the record of a baby girl, who skied at just 6 months 27 days old!

Rob posted a video online showing the feat.

Auburn was able to stay up for about 150 feet before mom finally had to step in.
