BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards gave his 2021 State of the State address on Monday evening.
The speech, which is normally held inside the House Chamber, is being held at Southern University’s A.W. Mumford Stadium due to COVID-19 safety precautions.
Gov. Edwards addressed Louisiana’s response to COVID-19, ongoing Coronavirus vaccine efforts, minimum wage increases, equal pay for men and women, hurricane response efforts and other legislative priorities.
