BATON ROUGE, La. — In early May, Louisiana’s House of Representatives advanced a $36.4 billion spending bill for 2022.
With that massive budget comes a higher than expected pay raise for teachers.
The state is also providing funding for teachers in higher education.
And, the legislation proposes full funding for Louisiana’s TOPS (Taylor Opportunity Program for Students).
