NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The WGNO Friday Night Football’s 30 years of nostalgia, presented by Delgado Community College, education that works, features perhaps the greatest team that never was.

In 2005, quarterback Randall Mackey led Bastrop to its first state football championship in 78 years.

Mackey led his team to victory on a frigid night in Shreveport, La.

He was supposed to win a championship – but at Port Sulphur High School.
