Karen joined the WGNO Sports team in January of 2017. Before coming to WGNO, she was the Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter at WDBJ7 in Roanoke, Virginia, and before that was the Sports Director at WHAG in Hagerstown, Maryland.
She is a proud graduate of the University of Richmond, earning a degree in Journalism with a minor in Rhetoric and Communication Studies. While at Richmond, she played club volleyball, was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and wrote for the school’s newspaper, The Collegian.
Born and raised in Maryland, Karen is excited for the opportunity to venture outside of the Mid-Atlantic and embrace everything about New Orleans– from the great sports, to delicious food, and wide array of festivals and events! In her free time, she’s most likely working out, at a sporting event, or out and about exploring the city.
As far as Karen’s sports allegiance, she’s a huge Redskins, Orioles, Caps and Wizards fan, pulls for the Spiders and Terps on the collegiate level, and loves UFC and the XGames too.
