Raeven Poole is an Edward R. Murrow award-winning Digital Content Producer who hails from Harvey, Louisiana.
She joined the WGNO Digital Team in May of 2022.
Raeven attended and graduated from one of the biggest schools on the Westbank, John Ehret High School. She went on to become a proud Spring 2016 graduate of Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a focus in Broadcast Journalism.
She began her news career in 2017 but during the COVID-19 pandemic, she transitioned over to the digital side of news.
Within her first years at WGNO, Raeven and the team took home the Louisiana Broadcasters Association’s award for “Best Use of Digital Media.”
She most enjoys covering news about Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Every November, Raeven can be found in the Superdome cheering on the Southern University Jaguars at the annual Bayou Classic. In her free time, Raeven can be found volunteering at a local food bank, dancing to her favorite artists or rolling down the street in some bright yellow roller skates.
