NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans is gearing up for Jazz Fest, a celebration of all things music and food – two glorious weekends of energy, creativity and festivities fill the city and our spirits. It’s also important to nourish our bodies well throughout these two weeks. We’re delighted that Eat Fit is on Jazz Fest menus, making it easier than ever to fuel our bodies well.

Another key element is to stay well-hydrated. It’s critical on those days when the heat index is soaring, and also important to keep us feeling our best throughout the days out at the fest, and also will help us feel so much better the next day.

Here are six hydration options that are Eat Fit approved. Each are low or zero-sugar and can hydrate us just as effectively as water. Reach for these when you’re out at the festival, and really, anytime you’re looking to optimize your energy and hydration.

  • Herbal Tea from Sunshine Concessions | – Rosemint, Mandarin Orange and Blackberry Breeze
  • Iced Café Au Lait from New Orleans Coffee Company | hot or iced; 2% milk or unsweetened almond milk
  • Sugar Free Sno-Balls | vendors around the grounds including Plum Street Cee Cee’s and AJ’s sno-balls
