Louisiana native and Food Network Star’s Jay Ducote has been invited to cook an LSU Tailgate Party-themed dinner for the James Beard House.  The five-course meal has been inspired by Jay’s time on Food Network Star and tailgating.  The food will be paired with wine and cocktails featuring local wineries and distilleries.  The dinner is also a charitable event so the chefs’ cook at their own expense so Jay will has to cover the cost of the food and drinks for the Tailgate Party as well as his travel and lodging.  If you would like to help Jay with these costs, please visit his GoFundMe page.  The Louisiana Culinary Institute will also be throwing a preview dinner of the LSU Tailgate Party on July 8th.  For ticket information, click here.

Jay will also be cooking at the James Beard Foundation’s Chefs & Champagne event at Wolffer Estate Vineyard in teh Hamptons on July 23, 2016.  This year’s event is honoring famed Louisiana chef, John Besh.

After coming in second place on Food Network Star, Jay created Deep Fried America, a pilot for the Travel Channel.  Deep Fried America will be airing until July 4th.  Be sure to watch it.  The more people that watch it will help it get a full season order.
