Update: Sheridan has been adopted by a family in Connecticut.

Sheridan is a 1 ½ year old Boxer/Terrier mix that was surrendered to the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter in July with another dog that has since been adopted.  Sheridan has been a participant in their multi-dog playgroups program and would do well in a home with another well-mannered canine companion.  She would also do best in a home that is active and likes to interact with their dog regularly, including playtime and walks.  Sheridan would need a home without cats.  She weighs about 36 pounds and tested negative for heartworms.  Sheridan seems to love everyone that she meets and has become a shelter staff/volunteer favorite.  She spends plenty of her time serving as the shelter’s office dog.

The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is $67. Fee includes at least one round of vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter surgery, heartworm test, and microchip. To find out if this pet is still available for adoption, please email ehaywood@jeffparish.net or stop by to visit- the East Bank Shelter is located at 1 Humane Way, Jefferson LA 70123.
