NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Watch every Thursday morning as WhereYat.com and Where Y’at Magazine bring the top picks of great things to do in the beautiful city of New Orleans.

Bird-watching tours, tequila, and thrills are all a part of this weekend’s happenings, accompanied by beautiful weather that’s perfect for heading outdoors. Here are Where Y’at’s picks!:

Some of this weekend’s events include:

  • First, celebrate today’s National Margarita Day at Felipe’s Taqueria. Felipe’s will be serving 2-for-1 House Margaritas all day long at all locations. Enjoy delicious tacos, burritos, and more along with their frozen or on-the-rocks margaritas featuring freshly-squeezed lime juice.
  • Next, the Thrillville Fair at the Shrine on Airline runs this evening thru Sunday and features activities including the Sea Lion Splash, an observation wheel, and more…plus over 30 amusement rides, carnival food, and interactive games. Children three feet and under, and those 65 and older, get in free.
  • Bird watchers: head to Morgan City for the 2024 Eagle Expo. Kicking off the expo tonight will be a free “Wings to Soar” presentation at the Patterson Civic Center. Find guest speakers, photo outings, and boat tours while viewing the American bald eagle and a variety of birds of prey.
  • Finally, savor a boozy brunch, and a show, at Palm & Pine’s Bottoms-Up Pole Brunch with Bella Blue on Saturday. A two course pre-fixe brunch is served with dishes like steak frites & eggs. And try creative cocktails such as the P&P Pimms Cup or the alcohol-free “Zest to Kill” mocktail.
