NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Watch every Thursday morning as WhereYat.com and Where Y’at Magazine bring the top picks of great things to do in the beautiful city of New Orleans.
Happy Easter…a wonderful time of year filled with chocolate, Easter egg hunts and bunny-themed parades. This holiday weekend also features a beach-front auto rally, historic home tours and a delicious Easter brunch. Here are Where Y’at’s picks!:
Some of this weekend’s events include:
- First, this evening, and every Thursday night through the summer, Silver Slipper Casino in Bay St. Louis is hosting “Rumble on The Gulf” – a free rally on the coast with a beach view featuring motorcycles, hotrods and classic cars, along with great barbecue and rockin’ live music. Tonight, the Dave Mayley Band performs.
- If you’re looking to get out of town this holiday weekend, head to Natchez, Mississippi, for its Spring Pilgrimage. Enjoy tours of historic homes dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. These tours, taking place through April 9, offer insights into the town’s past and its Southern American legacy.
- Have plans for Easter brunch? If not, make reservations at Meril in the Warehouse District. Meril will feature a variety of delights, including their Jumbo Lump Crab Omelet, Baked French Toast and special Easter-themed cocktails, plus live music!
- Finally, don’t let your weekend end on Sunday. Indulge in Royal SIN Night at King Brasserie, held every Monday evening. King Brasserie is an upscale restaurant located in the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot in the CBD; their Royal SIN Night offers food and drink specials as a toast to service industry workers.
For complete maps of this weekend’s French Quarter Easter parades, pick up the new Spring Festivals issue of Where Y’at Magazine at restaurants, coffee shops and retail outlets all over town. Visit WhereYat.com for up-to-date info on all the Easter happenings!
