NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Watch every Thursday morning as WhereYat.com and Where Y’at Magazine bring the top picks of great things to do in the beautiful city of New Orleans.
Did you celebrate Valentine’s Day with your special someone, or were you too wrapped up with the end of Carnival and Ash Wednesday? This weekend features plenty of ways to honor the one you love: here are Where Y’at’s picks!
Some of this weekend’s events include:
- First, looking for a unique date spot? Opening tomorrow, The Historic New Orleans Collection in the French Quarter presents A Mystic Brotherhood: Fraternal Orders of New Orleans. The exhibit explores how the Freemasons and other organizations shaped the city through social work. Admission is free.
- Next, starting this weekend, NOLA Steak at Boomtown Casino will be serving a spring Jazz Brunch buffet. Add their bottomless drinks options to make it a boozy brunch with your beau. There’ll even be a brass band performing live jazz.
- All you need is love! The LPO brings to life Beatles’ classics at The Orpheum on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. The “Classical Mystery Tour” is the LPO’s tribute to the Fab Four, and the night will feature your favorite Beatles’ ballads.
- Finally, get ready to laugh with your lover: comedian Ali Wong is at the Mahalia Jackson Theater on Saturday night. The Emmy award-winner, known for her Netflix stand-up specials, visits as part of her Ali Wong: Live tour. Get your tickets before this show sells out!
