  • First, various restaurants are participating through Sunday in Restaurant Week New Orleans, with multi-course dining deals for lunch, dinner, or brunch. Restaurant August in the Warehouse District will be featuring a specially-priced dinner with pan-seared striped bass and more.
  • Next, Tulane University’s Summer Lyric Theatre presents Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This murderous musical contains a twisted story of love and revenge that will keep you on the edge of your seat…making this production of Sweeney Todd a must-see.
  • In the market for a new home or renovation? The Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans hosts the Parade of Homes, both this weekend and next, offering the latest trends in construction and interior design. Online 3D virtual tours will be also available.
  • Finally, ready to rock out for a good cause? The Alliance for Affordable Energy is teaming up with Tipitina’s to host a benefit show on Saturday night in support of affordable energy systems for all Louisianians…featuring Leo Nocentelli, Papa Mali, and others. Doors open at 6 p.m.; showtime is 7 p.m.
