NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The holiday season has arrived in the Greater New Orleans area, and for many, it’s the season of generous giving–and receiving.

With Christmas around the corner, WGNO rounded up a few toy drives and holiday giveaways across the Greater New Orleans area.

Miracle Baptist Church Toy Giveaway

Friday, Dec. 22. at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church located at 2606 S. Galvez St., New Orleans from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Thrive New Orleans 2023 Christmas Toy Giveaway

Thrive New Orleans is partnering with DePaul Community Health Centers, Aetna and Walmart Plus to give away toys for children

Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club’s Annual Toys for Tots Distribution

This Toys for Tots distribution is open to children of all ages.

DePaul Community Health Centers is partnering with Thrive Community Center to host a toy giveaway event at the Thrive Community Center. The event is free to the public and toys are given out on a first come first serve basis. The child must be present to receive their toy.

Hope for the Holidays Giveaway

Dec 24, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., toy giveaway plus hot cocoa and cookies, live music and pictures with Santa at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, located at 4000 Cadillac St.

Community Christmas Service Giveaway

Greater St. Stephen Ministries will be giving away 500 gift cards to the community.

Hams for Fams

A meal basket delivery will be held on Saturday, Dec. 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church on Bonnabel Boulevard in Metairie.
