NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Artist Terrance Osborne is in the Carnival spirit, and he’s putting that spirit into a new art piece. The popular artist has teamed up with Raising Cane’s for his new artwork.

WGNO’s Kenny Lopez explains how you can get your own free poster!

Two things that Osborne loves are Raising Cane’s and Mardi Gras.

“We go to Raising Cane’s often,” Osborne said.

On a recent trip to Raising Cane’s, Osborne noticed some of his art hanging on their walls. He talked to managers and eventually, a partnership formed with this new Mardi Gras artwork, that’s definitely one to love.

“I want this piece to exude Mardi Gras. Almost as if Mardi Gras was a painting, that’s how it feels. I want people to look at it and feel great about Mardi Gras,” Osborne said.

In this piece, he wanted it to have a family feel, so he put his wife Stephanie, and daughter and son in the Mardi Gras headdress. The focal point of the painting is an important family member to Todd Graves, the owner of Raising Cane’s.

“Cane is the name of their dog. They are on their third Cane,” Osborne said.

Graves is also in the painting, but there are no chicken fingers anywhere.

“I think what they really want is to illustrate the artwork and project a positive image, and not be about food,” Osborne said.

But for those going to Cane’s for a Box Combo, Osborne will be signing free posters of his new Mardi Gras artwork at several locations.
