NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — It’s the place to discover the latest and greatest when it comes to Mardi Gras.

It all started in 1989 with stuffed animals.

Plush animals as they like to call them around the place called Plush Appeal – The Mardi Gras Spot.

WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood is there with Alyssa Fletchinger Higgins who represents the second generation of this Carnival family.

What’s new this Carnival Season?

Beads made from recycled stuff.

And a wand that blows bubbles you can carry with you to all the parades.
