ZEPHYR FIELD (WGNO) – The place to be on Friday nights is at Friday Night Football.

WGNO News with a Twist features guy Wild Bill Wood was at Zephyr Field where the baseball field is turned into a football field for football teams in the state playoff games.

Not all the action is on the field, some of the real heroes are on the sidelines as the Crusaders from Brother Martin battle the McKinley Panthers from Baton Rouge.

It was the first-round of the Division I football playoffs.  The first quarter was scoreless.  But the Crusaders came back to score four touchdowns in the second quarter.

And the Crusaders would crusade toward victory.

The final score was Brother Martin Crusaders 42,  McKinley Panthers 0.
