(WGNO)- Starbucks is ringing in spring with a new beverage, the”Cherry Blossom Frappuccino.” It will only be available until March 20th, the first day of spring. It’s not a cherry drink though. Starbucks says the drink is a delicious blend of strawberries and cream with white chocolate sauce and matcha drizzle topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha.
The coffee company says the flavor was inspired by the pink cherry blossoms and the Saukura Blossom & Strawberry Frappuccino that’s already available in Starbucks stores in Japan.
The Cherry Blossom is Japan’s national flower also symbolizing spring, renewal and simplicity.
