NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – For our final installment of “Living Among the Dead,” we get the chance to meet a little girl, who might just rock you to sleep.

The third floor of the columns hotel seems to have a lot of paranormal activity. It was the old attic space when the hotel began as a mansion. Room 21 has been the scene of a lot of activity, especially encounters with a little girl.

A woman and a man were sharing this room. It had a queen sized bed and a daybed. They were planning to sleep on the queen-sized bed, and the woman was reading on the daybed.

Suddenly, the woman felt as though the bed was swaying like a cradle, rocking back and forth. She decided that this movement must be the streetcar. Rather than jumping up,  she was rocked to sleep.

When she woke up the next morning, she had the book still open on her chest, and she felt unusual. Her husband had already gone down for breakfast.

She got up quickly and went to brush her hair and get ready in the mirror. She dropped her comb and used an expletive. As soon as she looked up at herself in the mirror, out of her mouth came, ‘I’m sorry mama I’ll never say that word again’ in a little girls voice. She ran downstairs and was terrified.
