NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – New Orleans-born legend Allen Toussaint was more than a musician, he was an influential songwriter, composer and record producer.

Over the span of five decades, Toussaint was nominated for more than 30 Grammy Awards but never won for his own performances.

News with a Twist sat down with Toussaint in 2014 to talk about his latest nomination and reflect on the influence the City of New Orleans has had on his career.
