NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Introducing this week’s poet Delia Tomino Nakayama.

Delia has spent most of her life singing and writing lyrics as well as expanding into the arts as a painter, teacher, and community arts organizer.

She’s originally from the bay area and moved to New Orleans in 2003.

In this original poetry by Delia, she explores going beyond feeling and the value of ‘deed.’ She calls this poem “Deed 1.23.15.”
