WGNO

Rain or shine, we dine!

NEW ORLEANS(WGNO)– The Louisiana Seafood Festival celebrates Louisiana’s extraordinary local cuisine. Starting with everything fresh from the water, famous local chefs are cooking up shrimp, oysters, crawfish, crab, fish and alligator. Mouth-watering choices – grilled, boiled, fried and barbecued – create a seafood festival feast! The event is free and open to the public, and features live music, an art market, and food from some of the state’s most renowned restaurants and caterers. This annual event continues to serve fun and food to both locals and visitors. All proceeds from the festival benefit the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, a 501c3 organization.

The skies opened this morning for the beginning of the festival at 11 am, and regardless crowds poured in to catch some live music and taste all that the gulf has to offer. From crawfish and mac and cheese, to alligator sausage, the festival is a seafood lover’s dream come true.

The event has more to offer than just food, drinks and snowballs are available, and it is kid friendly.
