NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The nearly 100-year-old steam locomotive has made it back to The Fly this weekend!
Real train engineers and conductors let people on the locomotive and got a close up tour of railroad safety and what it takes to run an old steam engine.
Southern Pacific Steam Locomotive was built in the 1920’s in Algiers. It’s the only operating steam locomotive today that was built in Louisiana.
The train will be able to see for all Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
