NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The Pelican’s seasonal mascot the King Cake Baby, made an appearance at WGNO-TV Tuesday charming and terrifying the good men and women in the newsroom.
Twist reporter Jacqueline Mazur had the opportunity to interview the King Cake Baby and learn a dance or two with the Pelican’s dancers as well.
Perhaps surprisingly, the King Cake Baby was dumbfounded when Mazur asked him his thoughts about the outcome of the Iowa caucuses and about the Syrian refugee crisis.
Regardless, Mazur’s dream to interview the King Cake Baby has come true.
