“First you take the stick and you run it through the tail of the lobster.  It’s screaming batter me up and let’s go,”  Tommy Cvitanovich, owner of Drago’s said.

The new dish is made with a special lightning sauce and these pinchers of the sea.

“Look at how beautiful this tail is.  This is going to be great!  We will batter it up, the Louisiana way.  We’ll put some lightning sauce on it,” he said.

“If they can deep fry a candy bar then we can deep fry a lobster tail,” Cvitanovich said.

Drago’s feels they really got something that people will enjoy for many years to come.

“Magic in your mouth.  Really make your mouth pop,” he said.

“These lobster lollipops will get you going,” he excitedly said.

Guests trying the lobster lollipops for the first time said they are already fans.

“They are both sweet and spicy.  Lobsters are a girl’s best friend,” they said.

Drago’s started serving their lobster lollipops at their flagship location in Metairie last week.  They began serving them at their Hilton Riverside location and in Jackson this week.  For the past week, Drago’s headed up to the affected flood areas to give out food to the thousands of needy folks there.
